Ignored by everyone in town, Refugio becomes convinced he is doomed to travel the earth as a wandering soul without home or friends. With sudden insight, Senor Refugio pardons Luis and makes amends for all the trouble he's caused. Luis and Alicia are married in a resplendent wedding ceremony which ends with a startling and inspirational revelation.

Overview of film (No Spoilers)...

Zero Mostel plays a cruel Mexican landowner who is hated by the entire town for a variety of reasons. The town plots against him to free a young man from prison.

Zero is the centerpiece of this mostly unknown comedy and he spends the film behind a big fake mustache, but he still has his trademark stare to carry his comedic gestures. Not the best film of his career but fun if you're a Zero fan.
